Dick Hillenbrand to speak at the Capital District Genealogical Society, Saturday September 22.

The Capital District Genealogical Society (CDGS) will meet Saturday September 22nd, 2007 at 1:00 pm. in the Colonie Town Library, a short meeting and then a Computer Interest Group program is followed at 2:30 by a program presented by Dick Hillenbrand on his collection of data and family group sheets of "Families of the Old Cambridge District," (OCD.)

This is the area which is now the south eastern corner of Washington county, New York, and concentrates on the now towns of Cambridge, Jackson and White Creek. Dick has been collecting information for dozens of years on all of the families that he has been able to find that ever lived there from the colonial period to the U.S. Civil War period. He will be bringing his handwritten collection of about 30,000 family group sheet with him so you may see if you can find any of your ancestors within.
